Route segments

Guide for Editing and Modifying Route Segments and Travel Paths

Within a route, the route segments are displayed between the numbered stops.
A route segment is the section between two stops of the route.
DThe route segment can be selected from the list or by double-clicking on the blue line on the map.
In some cases, ‘issues’ are displayed for route segments. These are notifications for the user to review and, if necessary, adjust the travel paths.

Modify travel path

The directions contain the exact instructions that are also displayed to the driver in the ioki Route app.
The ‘Edit’ button allows you to modify the travel path.
The red dashed line defines the desired points to be driven along.
These helper points of the line can be moved on the map to approximately match the desired route.
After clicking ‘Update route segment,’ the system recalculates the travel path based on the modified dashed line.
The options ‘Ignore traffic rules’ and ‘Ignore vehicle access restrictions’ can be used optionally (for example, with special permits for buses in certain bus lanes or pedestrian zones).
The updated route segment is immediately available to drivers in the app.
